Fluted Panel Feature Walls,
Fitted In A Day
Straight over your existing wall. No hacking, no dust. Same crew that lays your floor.
Where It Goes
Where a panelled wall works

Headboard wall
Hotel look, no carpentry.

Entryway & hallway
Vertical ribs make a tight corridor feel taller.

Home office
Good on video calls. Hides a patched wall.

Our own crew, on the wall
Ribs plumb, trimmed to the opening, closed into the ceiling line. The corners are where a bad job shows.
Everything badged Illustration shows the finish. This one shows us fitting it.
Plain English
Fluted, slat, or 3D?
Used interchangeably in quotes. Not the same thing.

Fluted
Rounded ribs, no gaps.

Slat
Square battens, open gaps.

3D panel
Moulded relief, not ribs.

Cladding
Heavier, often exterior. Different fire rules.
Materials
What lasts in Singapore humidity
High humidity all year. Two materials handle it.

WPC
Timber look, plastic behaviour. Stable in humidity.

PVC composite
No wood core. Safest near kitchens.
What about MDF, solid timber and aluminium?
MDF has an absorbent core: moisture reaches a cut edge, the core swells, the face lifts. We avoid it. Solid timber moves with humidity and needs expansion allowance, so case by case. Aluminium is stable and non-combustible, mostly commercial.
Is “carbon crystal” or “bamboo charcoal” board a different material?
No. Both are trade names for high-density PVC composite. Worth knowing before you pay extra for the name.

Commercial reception
Where the wall is the brand. Fire rules are stricter outside a home.
What HDB Allows
Where you can’t put one
Most pages show you photographs. Almost none tell you where panelling is not allowed. We check before we quote.
Inside your own flat, no flame-spread class applies
The SCDF Fire Code restricts surface spread of flame on walls and ceilings, but that applies to common property, not inside a private flat. We still will not print “fire-rated” without a test certificate: an overseas rating is not a Singapore classification.
Never panel outside your front door
Corridors, lift lobbies and staircases are escape routes with a strict flame-spread requirement. We decline that work. If someone offers to panel your corridor, treat it as a red flag.
Balconies and external walls are a stricter, separate case
External surfaces fall under cladding rules requiring limited-combustibility materials, actively enforced. We do not fit combustible panels there.
There is a limit on building up over an existing finish
HDB limits how far a finish may build up over what is already there, and a third layer is not allowed. We measure before quoting, not on installation day.
Fixings are limited, and household shelters have their own rules
Fastener diameter and depth into HDB walls are limited, and household shelters are governed separately. Adhesive fixing avoids it where the substrate allows.
Wet areas and ceilings are not the same job
Bathrooms carry a waterproofing restriction in a new flat's first years, and false ceilings must be non-combustible. Panelling is not a ceiling product.
Every unit differs. We confirm the specifics for yours before quoting.

Common questions
Does LN Flooring supply and install wall panels?
Yes. Alongside our vinyl flooring and tile, we supply and fit fluted and slat wall panels for HDB flats, condos and commercial interiors, by the same BCA-registered team that lays our floors.
Do I need to hack the existing wall first?
No. Panels go straight over a sound, level wall, which is why a feature wall is usually a one-day job with no hacking and little dust. We check the wall at the site visit, because loose paint has to be made good first.
How long does a fluted panel feature wall take to install?
A single feature wall in a typical HDB living room is usually done within a day. Ceiling-height runs or walls needing preparation take longer, and we confirm that at the site visit rather than running over.
Which material is best for Singapore's humidity?
WPC and PVC composite, because neither has an absorbent wood core. We avoid MDF: once moisture reaches a cut edge the core swells and the face lifts. Solid timber works but needs expansion allowance.
Can I put fluted panels in my HDB corridor or on my balcony?
No. Corridors, lift lobbies and staircases are escape routes with a strict flame-spread requirement, and balconies fall under external-cladding rules. We fit panels inside the unit only.
Do I need an HDB permit for a wall panel feature wall?
Panelling inside your flat is generally treated as a finish, not structural work. But there are limits on build-up thickness over an existing finish, on fixings, and on household shelter walls. We confirm what applies to your unit before quoting.
How much do fluted wall panels cost in Singapore?
Quoted per project, because it depends on the material, the wall area and what is already on the wall. WhatsApp Kayler at +65 8118 5520 with your unit type and a rough wall size.
What warranty comes with wall panels?
The 25-year material warranty is cover on our own LVT vinyl and does not extend to wall panels or tile. Ask at the site visit what cover applies to the panel you choose, and we will tell you plainly.
